Darn Good Chocolate Cake and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World
Want to bake your sweetheart the most romantic Valentine's Day treat ever? This chocolate cake will have them falling in love all over again! I’ve been making this recipe for YEARS, ever since my mother in law gave me the book The Cake Mix Doctor by Anne Byrn. I am not a baker like she, so this book was perfect because the recipes all include cake mix and few extra ingredients to make your desserts have that from scratch taste. If you love chocolate, you will love this cake! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Vegetable oil spray for misting the pan
Flour for dusting the pan
1 package (18.25 ounces) plain devil’s food or dark chocolate fudge cake mix
1 package (3.9 ounces) chocolate instant pudding mix.
4 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
½ cup warm water
½ cup vegetable oil, such as canola or corn
1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
Here’s How to Do It:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly mist a 12 cup bundt pan with oil spray, then dust with flour. Shack out excess flour. Set pan aside.
Place cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, warm water, and oil in a large mixing bowl. Blend with an electric mixture on low for 1 minute. Increase the speed to medium, fold in the chocolate chips, and distribute evenly into the mix. Pour the batter into the pan and place the pan in the oven.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until the batter springs back when lightly pressed and just starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Top with a dusting of powdered sugar, and serve with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.
